The course objective is to train divers in underwater Burning/Cutting. The course does not require prior experience in underwater burning, but does require the diver to be a qualified diver/tender before start of class. The instructor systematically guides the diver through the course by beginning with the basic modular through successful completion of the entire one week program.

With no previous underwater burning experience it is a necessity to have an understanding of topside cutting, both theoretical and practical as it would be a significant advantage to any student wishing to enroll.

“I am proud to call myself a student of IDI”

I look forward to working with more of the instructors and retaining all the knowledge they have to offer. In IDI you get out what you put in. I have put in a lot of work and I am getting a ton out of it.

—Ryan T.

I started the final month of training and am challenged physically and mentally each day. Definitely going to take one or more of their advanced courses in welding and/or unrestricted depth.

—Caleb S.

“This is a top notch school with a dedicated staff…”

…they go the extra mile for enrolling and focus on the individual they use hands on training to help train the next generation on commercial divers
