International Diving Institute (IDI) Approved as NAVSEA Diver Training Facility
IDI becomes the exclusive training facility for dive groups in the United States Navy.
Students at the International Diving Institute already have the advantage of training at IDI’s Tru Environment™ facility, in an area rich in diving history. Now that IDI is a NAVSEA-approved diver training facility, they can boast about training in the same waters as dive groups from the United States Navy!
Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) is the largest of the Navy’s five system commands and seeks to timely and cost-effectively design, build, deliver, and maintain ships and systems for the U.S. Navy. The responsibility of NAVSEA to efficiently maintain a fleet of nearly 300 ships, systems, and their support infrastructure is a massive undertaking. IDI is excited to support these efforts and improve effectiveness by allowing NAVSEA’s dive groups to access our training facilities and equipment.
With a thousands of civilian, military, and contract support personnel, NAVSEA accounts to one quarter of the Navy’s entire budget. All of their diving groups, including the Underwater Construction Team (UCT) and the Mobile Diving and Salvage Unit (MDSU), will now be using IDI’s state-of-the-art training equipment to assist their efforts in advancing and protecting the interests of the U.S. Navy.
Aspiring commercial divers and underwater welders can experience the difference of Tru Environment™ Training at IDI, and now register for classes at the same school where organizations such as the U.S. Navy send their teams to receive elite training and instruction.
