IDI Featured in The Post & Courier for Preeminent Underwater Welding Program That Trains Veterans

It has been long time coming but IDI has officially moved into our new school facility located at the old Navy Base near the Lowcountry Innovation Center.

The Post & Courier sent a reporter and photographer to tour the offices, classrooms and workshop space that encompass 24,000 square feet of state-of-the-art Underwater Welding & Underwater Diving instruction & training equipment.

“We’re so proud of our students and staff and are thrilled to have partnered with Carver Companies that allowed for this expansion,” Michael Hielscher, co-owner and directer of IDI. “With these new facilities and added classroom and workshop space, we’re better equipped to train Veterans looking for career opportunities after they serve.” Hielscher added.
